What You Can Do If You Have A Plumbing Problem

To minimize potential problems with your toilet, avoid using it as a trash receptacle. Do not flush sanitary pads, paper towels, cotton balls, tissues, diapers or other materials, as these items do not dissolve and could cause clogs. As well, use just enough toilet paper to clean yourself!

Make sure to clean out the dryers lint trap. This can prevent troubles, including fires. Always check your lint trap for damage, such as holes or tears. This could allow lint to enter your pipes, leading to clogs or other plumbing complications.

Drain cleaners should be avoided, if possible. Drain cleaners contain very corrosive chemicals that can cause damage to your pipes if used too much. Call a professional if you notice your drain is still clogged up.
